Rose Clinic, where trust is grown.

Let’s work together to build the life that you want.

How We Practice

Rose Clinic was founded by Dinara Triantafyllou, MD and Laura White, MD with a mission to provide compassionate and holistic care that integrates medications, therapy, and overall health through nutrition, exercise, and community.

Our goal is to provide direct, streamlined care that allows time to get to the root of the problem and avoids quick fixes. We want to understand your values and help you achieve your goals through honest communication, clear treatment planning, and creating a space where you can heal.

Rose Clinic is an LGBTQ+ friendly practice. We welcome adults of every background, identity, and orientation.

What to Expect

Deciding to seek psychiatric care is a real step, and for many people a hard one to take. We want you to know what the work looks like before you begin.

Good treatment takes time and is rarely a straight line. There are setbacks along with progress. Think of it as a journey toward the life you want, with your psychiatrist beside you as a guide, there to inform your choices rather than make them for you.

The relationship

Treatment works best when you and your psychiatrist are honest with each other. Therapy can stir up painful feelings and memories, and there may be weeks when it feels like things are getting worse, not better. This is common, especially in trauma recovery. Tell us when it happens. We can slow the pace or change course together. That two way conversation is the heart of the work.

Medication

Medication asks for the same patience, observation, and honesty. Every medication has side effects, and we weigh them against the cost of leaving symptoms untreated. We choose based on your history, your preferences, and your risk profile. If a medication has to be stopped, there are many other options, and we keep going until we find what works. We believe in prescribing only what is needed. For some people that means tapering off a medication, or no medication at all.

What success looks like

Successful treatment does not mean a life without challenges. It means understanding your own mind better, having more insight into and control over your emotions and behavior, and gaining the tools to build healthy relationships, hold boundaries, and reach the goals you set for yourself. It means being present for the good parts of life and resilient through the hard ones.

We are here to listen to your story and walk with you on this journey, wherever it may lead.

Services and Fees

Our Doctors

Dinara Triantafyllou, MD and Laura White, MD have been colleagues and friends for over seven years. They started Rose Clinic with a vision of a psychiatrist owned and operated practice that created a safe and healing space for patients and providers alike.

Dinara Triantafyllou, MD

  • Co-founder
  • Speaks Russian

Dr. Triantafyllou was born in Russia but grew up in Texas. She speaks fluent Russian. She graduated from Rice University with a BS in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. She attended University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and then completed her psychiatry residency at Baylor College of Medicine in 2019. She published research papers on effects of trauma on memory and on domestic violence survivors. She moved to Lancaster to lead an inpatient women’s trauma recovery unit for six years, where she met Dr. White. During that time she also held the position of Director of Education and taught medical students as an adjunct professor at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University.

She enjoys working with all types of patients but has a particular interest in women’s health, trauma recovery, as well as the role of art, community, spirituality, nutrition, and fitness in building a healthy and joyful life. In her spare time, she likes to work out, paint, garden, and spend time with her family.

Laura White, MD

  • Co-founder
  • Fellowship trained

Dr. White grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and studied English at Amherst College before earning her MD at Drexel University. She completed psychiatry residency at Einstein Philadelphia and a fellowship in consultation-liaison psychiatry at Cambridge Health Alliance, a Harvard-affiliated hospital, where she treated patients whose medical and mental health concerns were closely intertwined.

Alongside her clinical work in community and inpatient psychiatry, Dr. White is a physician leader. As Assistant Chief Medical Officer at a 126-bed acute care psychiatry hospital in PA, she helped build its weekend coverage and provider system from the ground up. Much of her work involves supporting physicians and providers. That experience led to one of her central clinical interests: the mental health of physicians and healthcare professionals, including burnout, sustainable boundaries, and work-life balance.

Her other interests include the treatment of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and life transitions, with special interest in the mood, sleep, and anxiety changes that can come with perimenopause and menopause. She favors streamlined, evidence-based prescribing alongside psychotherapy and other modalities to support the whole person, such as movement, creativity, nutrition, play, and fostering community.

Outside the clinic, she tries to practice what she recommends and finds time for rest, family, movement, and community. You might find her in the garden growing dahlias, hosting a BBQ with family and friends, or taking long walks with her two corgis.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if this practice is right for me?

Starting a new psychiatric treatment can be a scary and overwhelming process. It’s hard to be vulnerable with people you do not know and to commit a lot of time and money toward a treatment that you can’t be certain will work. Keeping that in mind, we will meet you where you are and build a therapeutic relationship based on honesty, trust, and collaboration. As long as you are willing to fight for the life that you want, we will stand by you and find a way forward.

What will treatment look like?

The first step is to request a free 15 minute consultation to discuss the logistics of treatment at Rose Clinic and to determine if a full assessment will be beneficial. Either Dr. White or Dr. Triantafyllou will contact you based on availability, your preference, or a fit with specific treatment strengths or interests. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss logistics and will not include assessment, diagnosis, or treatment.

Then, an initial 90 minute assessment will take place, where an extensive psychiatric, medical, and social history will be collected to determine provisional diagnosis and treatment plan. We may ask for additional information, including bloodwork, medical records or information from other health professionals in order to safely prescribe medication. At the end of the assessment, we will discuss whether you want to continue treatment with Rose Clinic or whether a different treatment modality would be more appropriate.

If you decide to continue with Rose Clinic and agree with recommended treatment, you will receive prescriptions for medications and be scheduled for follow up appointments. The follow up appointment will be 20 minutes and we will discuss your treatment progress and symptoms, discuss therapeutic and lifestyle interventions, and adjust medications as needed.

What conditions do you treat?

We are happy to help individuals heal from a full range of psychiatric problems and concerns, including anxiety, depression, panic attacks, phobias, difficulty functioning at work or at school, relationship problems, life transitions, grief, pregnancy and postpartum difficulties, stress management, identity difficulties, among others.

Since we are a relatively small practice, individuals who require specialized treatment (such as in substance use disorders or eating disorders) would have to be referred to a more appropriate level of care.

We only treat adults over the age of 18 years old.

Do you take insurance?

Rose Clinic is a direct-pay practice and we are considered out of network with insurance. This allows us to have the time and autonomy to provide the best possible care. On request, we provide a detailed superbill you can submit to your carrier for possible out-of-network reimbursement. We encourage you to verify your out-of-network benefits before your first appointment.

Do you prescribe medication?

Yes, at Rose Clinic, you can receive therapy and medication management with the same doctor. If you already have a therapist you trust, we coordinate closely with them. If you do not want to utilize medications, we are happy to focus on therapy and lifestyle problem solving instead.

Do you prescribe controlled substances?

At Rose Clinic, we believe the safest and most effective approach to care usually does not involve controlled substances such as benzodiazepines and stimulants. We focus on other medication options, therapy, and lifestyle changes. We have extensive experience helping individuals heal from severe anxiety and ADHD by utilizing the multitude of other pharmacological interventions available and by optimizing therapy and lifestyle changes.

If you are already taking one of these medications, we will work with you carefully to reduce or taper off the medication over time while strengthening other parts of your treatment. This process can be difficult at first, but it often leads to fewer symptoms and better daily functioning over the long term.

Is this the right practice for a crisis?

No. Rose Clinic is an outpatient practice and does not provide crisis or emergency services. If you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department. You can also call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. We are glad to talk once things are stable.
